Auditions: The Pros & Cons of Killing Your Husband

“Until death do us part” takes on a whole new meaning in “The Pros and Cons of Killing Your Husband”. This dark comedy follows three women as a conversation about their troubled marriages takes an unexpected turn involving money, secrets, and a rather permanent solution to their husband problem.
TAPA is holding auditions and looking for actors to bring this twisted and hilarious story to life. Come audition and see if you have what it takes to join the cast! Auditions will be held Oct 10 & 11 at 2:00 pm both days, at Oregon Coast Dance Center (312 Main Ave, Tillamook)

Free Movie Showing: “Lincoln”

The Tillamook County Pioneer Museum (TCPM), thanks to a generous grant from Tillamook High School Charity Drive, is hosting a free movie showing of “Lincoln” at the Tillamook Coliseum Theater on October 3 beginning at 6 pm.
The 2012 film directed by Steven Spielberg, is set in January 1865. President Abraham Lincoln (played by Daniel Day-Lewis) races against time to pass the 13th Amendment through the House of Representatives.
Prior to the film showing, guests are invited to arrive early for a meet-and-greet and photos with “Honest Babe Lincoln,” a remarkably good look-alike of Abraham Lincoln.
TCPM will have Abraham Lincoln themed books and stickers for sale, and the theater’s concessions will be open.
Movie admission is free, though donations are always appreciated.
Doors open at 5 pm.

Hamlet with Oregon Shakespeare Festival at Tillamook Library

After he is charged by a ghost to revenge his father’s death, Hamlet struggles to find the right path forward. One of Shakespeare’s most studied plays,  this version of Hamlet is a wonderful introduction to the play for all audiences. This fast-moving 40-minute version of the classic brings the main characters and central issues Hamlet encounters to life.
