Coast Guard Appreciation Day – Garibaldi Days Weekend
Join us in Garibaldi to honor, celebrate and show our gratitude to the brave men and women of the United States Coast Guard for their dedication and service.
This is a FREE family friendly event open to past and present USCG members and their families as well as our local community members.
The event will include a welcome ceremony beginning at 11AM, live music until 2PM, food, beverages, and desserts, fun outdoor games and silly competitions between local USCG and Fire Department members (begins at 12PM).
The event will be held in conjunction with the annual Garibaldi Days Festival. There will be vendor booths setup along Jerry Creasy from 10AM-2PM

Experience the charm of the Oregon Coast at Garibaldi Days, a three-day summer festival set against the stunning backdrop of Tillamook Bay. Held every last full weekend in July, this beloved community celebration welcomes an estimated 4,000–5,000 visitors for a weekend filled with coastal tradition, family fun, and small-town hospitality.
Visitors can enjoy a lively parade along Highway 101, live music throughout the weekend, a classic car show, and the crowd-favorite Water Ball Competition between local volunteer fire departments. The festival grounds feature a variety of food vendors, artisan booths, and local businesses offering everything from fresh coastal flavors to handmade goods. As the sun sets over the bay, fireworks light up the waterfront, creating a memorable finale you won’t want to miss.
Garibaldi Days offers more than just a festival, it’s an opportunity to explore Garibaldi, stroll the marina, book a fishing charter, ride the train, visit nearby beaches, and experience authentic coastal culture. Huehca Omeyocan will be sharing art, culture, music, and dance in a vibrant, colorful, generous, and transcendental way to strengthen the connection with nature and bring communities together during this inspiring celebration. Huehca Omeyocan will be joined by Friends of Netarts Bay WEBS, Oregon Shores, Consejo Hispano, the Neah-Kah-Nie Coast Art & Music Cultural Foundation (NCAM), OSU Extension, Juntos Afuera and Tillamook Estuaries Partnership for an inspiring day with opportunities to explore, learn, celebrate, and act for the ocean. Huehca Omeyocan was founded in McMinnville, Oregon in 2016 by artist, drummer, performer, and cultural promoter Eduardo Cruz Torres Amictlan and his wife and main dancer of the group, Maria Elena Cortes Duran Malinalmiquiz. Maria started dancing when she was only 12 years old, and it has been a part of her life ever since. The Mexica-Chichimeca or Aztec dance and music connect the natural world, human body, and spirit with everything that exists. It is a cosmic integration — a prayer in motion that delights the senses. The movements and sounds of these spirited presentations mirror the energy that joins each of us with each other and the entire cosmos. With joyful generosity, Huehca Omeyocan aims to inspire this transcendent connectivity in every community they touch. Celebrate one of Oregon’s most unique coastal traditions at Dory Days in Pacific City! Recognized by the Oregon Heritage Commission as an Oregon Heritage Tradition, Dory Days honors the rich history, culture, and enduring legacy of Pacific City’s iconic dory fishing fleet.
The festivities kick off Friday, July 17, with the opening of the weekend-long Artisan Fair featuring local vendors and handcrafted goods. Friday evening, gather at the Kiawanda Community Center for a community concert featuring Countryfied. The Artisan Fair continues throughout the weekend at the gravel lot on the corner of Pacific Avenue and Brooten Road, open Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Saturday’s activities begin with the beloved Dory Days Parade at 11 a.m. The procession starts at the Tillamook County boat ramp near Bob Straub State Park, crosses the bridge, travels north along Brooten Road, and concludes at the Oar House Bar & Grill. Visitors can also enjoy the popular Fish Fry featuring fresh, locally caught dory fish, explore the Launching Through the Surf exhibit highlighting the history and traditions of Pacific City’s fishing heritage, and take part in a family-friendly treasure hunt hosted by Pelican Brewing Company.
On Sunday, the Launching Through the Surf exhibit continues, along with a special storytelling panel where local dory fishermen and community members share firsthand accounts, memories, and tales from generations of life on the water.
Free and open to the public, Dory Days offers a memorable weekend of coastal heritage, maritime traditions, live music, local art, family-friendly activities, and community celebration in the heart of Pacific City.

Rockaway Beach 4th of July Parade and Fireworks
Come celebrate the 4th of July in Rockaway Beach – this year’s theme is “Generations by the Sea – Celebrating 250 Years of Freedom” – From grandparents to grandchildren, our community comes together at the beach to celebrate America’s 250‑years of independence!
The annual 4th of July parade begins at 11AM. Fireworks will begin at 10PM – lights out at 9:30PM.
